Deal sees Enterprise add 1400 vehicles to its rental fleet and set to capitalise on lucrative North American tourist market. In the three years we’ve been working with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the company has continued to grow strongly while consistently displaying leadership in key workplace issues including such as diversity and equality.
This past week, Enterprise laid down another marker by announcing that it has agreed a deal for the acquisition of Dooley Car Rentals, the rental division of the renowned Dan Dooley Group.
The agreement brings together two long-established, family-owned brands, both of which are founded on the pillars of outstanding customer service and fearless entrepreneurism.
It’s a big deal in every sense of the word, adding some 1400 vehicles to Enterprise’s fleet plus a portfolio that will significantly boost the company’s inbound business from North America – perfect timing, with 2017 tipped to be another record-breaking year for tourism.
It also means that Dooley Car Rentals is now part of the world’s largest car rental company, Enterprise Holdings, which operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent-A-Car brands.
Commenting on the news, the Managing Director of Enterprise Rent-A-Car Ireland, George O’Connor, had this to say:
“I’ve always admired the Dooley brand, which, like Enterprise, has a culture that’s built upon excellent customer service. Both companies are family owned, entrepreneurial and customer centric, which makes this such an excellent fit.
“We are both proud of our history in Ireland. Dooley Car Rentals has been serving customers for more than 50 years, while Enterprise, which began in the United States 60 years ago, celebrates its 20th anniversary in Ireland this year.”
The acquisition of the Dooley brand certainly adds plenty of oomph to Enterprise’s 20th anniversary celebrations in Ireland – a milestone the company is marking in a number of ways including the planting of 20,000 trees during 2017.
For our part, we love working with a progressive and growing brand like Enterprise, whether that’s in the consumer, corporate or Public Affairs space. The Dooley deal cements Enterprise’s position as one of the country’s leading car rental providers and we’re proud to have them as a client.
From all at Cullen Communications, congratulations to George and the team on this fantastic news – and here’s to further growth in your 20th anniversary year!
