Cullen Communications was the big winner at this year’s PRGN Awards for Excellence in Communication, scooping Gold in both the B2B and Corporate Communications categories, as well as a Bronze in Social/CSR.
The agency won the B2B category for a campaign on behalf of Viking/Office Depot entitled ‘Saluting the small business’, which highlighted the hopes and fears of SMEs around Ireland and generated valuable exposure for the client in the process.
Cullen Communications added a further Gold award in the Corporate Communications category for its much-acclaimed ‘PressPass’ iniative on behalf of National Newspapers of Ireland (NNI). PressPass, which used newspapers to improve literacy skills among secondary school pupils, was also awarded Bronze in the Social/CSR campaign.
PRGN (Public Relations Global Network) is an invitation-only alliance of the world’s leading independent PR agencies, of which Cullen Communications is Ireland’s only member.
The results of the 2013 awards were announced at the latest PRGN conference which took place in Sydney. Representatives of the network’s 50 member agencies were on hand to see Frank Cullen, founder and former Chief Executive of Cullen Communications, accept the agency’s two Gold awards.
Cullen Communications was one of only three agencies that won more than one Gold in this year’s PRGN awards; the agency also won a Gold and Bronze award in last year’s awards.
