Agency wins double PRGN gold

Cullen Communications has won two Gold Awards for Excellence at the 2017 PRGN (Public Relations Global Network) Awards in Kyoto, Japan.

We’ve been a member of the prestigious PRGN alliance since 2004, and the network’s annual PR awards are a great opportunity to measure our work against some of the leading independent agencies from around the world.

This year, we measured up pretty well! Having entered a total of five projects, it was announced on Friday that we won two Gold awards for the following projects:

‘Ford 100’ (Events – external)

In April 2017, our client Ford celebrated 100 years in Ireland. To mark the occasion, the company’s global executive chairman, Bill Ford – great grandson of Henry Ford himself – visited Ireland along with his wife Lisa and two sons.

Working with the client and partner agencies, Cullen Communications organised a programme of activity designed to raise awareness of the company’s proud Irish legacy – and its place in a changing automotive world.

‘Fiesta 40’ (Events – internal)

In 2016, the iconic Ford Fiesta celebrated 40 years in Ireland. On behalf of Ford Ireland, Cullen Communications devised and implemented a national PR campaign to mark the milestone while also introducing the new Fiesta ST200.

We also won a Bronze award for our launch of the new Equifax IT centre in Dublin in September 2016 – a good day’s work!

Agency MD Owen Cullen (pictured, right) is in Kyoto for the fall meeting of PRGN and he accepted our two Gold awards on behalf of the Ford client team as well as everyone else who pitched in.
