Having worked previously with the likes of Delta Airlines, Thomas Cook and FedEx, we jumped at the chance to team up with another aviation brand – Airlink – last week, thanks to our Washington DC-based PRGN partner, Xenophon Strategies.
Xenophon’s client Airlink was in Dublin for the annual IATA (International Air Transport Association) gathering, hosted by Aer Lingus, which focussed on the theme ‘How aviation can be a force for good’.
The occasion was an opportunity for Airlink to generate awareness and support for its humanitarian mission, which involves working with airlines to rush emergency supplies and personnel to disaster zones.
Airlink has responded to all the world’s disasters in recent years, including the Syrian refugee crisis, the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, the Nepal earthquake and others.
A de facto aviation industry initiative, Airlink has partnership agreements with more than 20 airlines and more than 60 NGOs.
Working with Xenophon Strategies, our brief was to gather video content for Airlink’s digital media platforms including a series of interviews with key management and C-suite executives that would explain why the organisation exists and how it operates.
Our work included briefing videographers and interviewees, supporting script management, overseeing interviews and instructing editors on how to package the content. We also ensured that footage was edited and sent back to the US within the hour for instant publication.
Interviews were conducted with the CEOs of Boeing, JetBlue Airways, Rolls Royce, Ethiopian Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Brussels Airlines as well as with Richard Quest, CNN’s influential Business Correspondent.

The conference was a really fun project that also helped us to strengthen our links with the aviation industry – a key sector in Ireland’s trade-dependent knowledge economy.
